Welcome to my website, my name is Mikhail and I’m a game designer. I do level and gameplay design and am scheduled to graduate from DigiPen Institute of Technology in 2011.

Below are some highlights of my design career:

Every designer has their own philosophy and here is my design axiom:

[1] GAME MECHANIC – the actions you can do in the game. This has to grab the players, otherwise they’ll forget about your game.
[2] INTUITIVE CONTROLS – games are interactive and if the controls don’t work, then the game doesn’t work.
[3] PLAYTEST AND POLISH – you can’t nail everything on your first try. The cycle of iterating and playtesting is king.
